This is to notify that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Bangladesh Association for Child & Adolescent Mental Health (BACAMH) was duly held on January 12, 2026, at 5:30 PM at the Bangladesh Military Museum.
The meeting was conducted under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. M M A Shalahuddin Qusar, President of BACAMH, with the required quorum of general members present.
Key Proceedings
- Organizational Briefing: The official activities of the past year were briefed by the Joint Secretary, Associate Professor Dr. Shelina Fatema Binte Shahid.
- Financial Report: The annual financial activities and statement of accounts were presented by the Treasurer, Associate Professor Dr. Wasima Rahman, and were placed on record.
- President’s Address: The President presented the overall activities of the Executive Council since the last handover and outlined existing Constitutional provisions along with proposed amendments.
Resolutions Adopted
It was resolved by a majority vote that the following amendments to the Constitution be adopted:
- Term of Office: The term is extended from 2 years to 3 years.
- Presidential Limits: A President cannot be elected for 2 consecutive terms and may hold the office for no more than 2 terms in a lifetime.
- Terminology: The term “Executive Council” (or “EC”) shall be used in lieu of “Council”.
- Committee Structure: There will be 4 committees instead of 7.

It was further resolved that a temporary committee of 11 members is hereby constituted to draft, review, and recommend further amendments (for this time only) and monitor implementation:
